Verla Gillmor, President -- LifeChasersA Personal Note . . .

More than a decade ago Emmy award-winning television producer Bob Briner wrote his now-classic book, Roaring Lambs. Briner challenged Christians to stop whining about how our culture was going to the dogs. Get out of your holy huddle, Briner said, and do something about it!

Get involved in politics, education, the arts, the media, corporate America and every corner of our culture, he urged, and bring your spiritual values and influence with you. Demonstrate up close and personal how God can make a difference in a person’s life and in the world around them.

Briner walked his talk. Before his untimely death, he was called "a bulldozer driver who cleared a path for people to walk the road of professional excellence and spiritual integrity." He knew that success by God’s definition is not simply running hard and racking up an impressive resume. A lot of people run hard with little more to show for it than a good sweat. Rather, it means living with purpose, attitude and commitment.

Now it’s our turn. LifeChasers exists to inspire and equip more "roaring lambs." I hope you’ll take the challenge and live like you mean it. God paid a high price to make it possible.

Best,

"Jesus’ admonition to His followers to be salt and light is one of the universal imperatives of Scripture...Christians are to offer [to the culture] the peculiar and particular insights of Christianity and the Bible. We are not to sell them, force them, develop power blows to install them, sue to have them enacted or legislate them into being. We are to offer them.

Of course, in order to be able to make an offer, one must be positioned to do so, to show up in the public square where offers can be made and accepted or rejected."
